Job Title: Rigger & Signal Person Trainer / Instructor

Ref: 1801068
Locations: Warri, Delta and Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

A certified Rigger to train and prepare student for an international rigger certification.

Requirements

Possess (es) a recognized degree, certificate, or professional standing, or (has) extensive knowledge, training, and experience.
Successfully demonstrate(s) the ability to solve problems related to rigging loads.
Know and understand the type of signals used. If hand signals are used, the signal person must know and understand the Standard Method for hand signals.
Be competent in the application of the type of signals used.
Have a basic understanding of equipment operation and limitations, including the crane dynamics involved in swinging and stopping loads and boom deflection from hoisting loads.
Any previous experience working in Africa would be an advantage.
Ensures all aspects of training / assessment assignments are fully checked.
Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of current HSE legislation and procedures.

Requirements/Qualification

Qualifications and background experience of practical training.
Valid Rigger and Signalperson certification.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across a wide variety of people e.g. staff, clients, delegates.
Proficient working knowledge of office IT systems.
