A leading and foremost Health Maintenance Organization with its head office in Lagos urgently seek to recruit result-oriented individuals to fill the following vacancies created due to the expanding nature of its business.
1.) Manager, Financial Planning & Reporting
This position reports directly to the Financial Controller and is responsible for the annual budget forecast with detailed monthly financial planning, providing timely and accurate reports to all business decisions
Key Activities
Responsible for preparing the annual plan and long-range or five-year plan.
Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual management reports that compare actual results to forecasts.
Assists with the monthly accounting close and makes certain journal entries are prepared correctly and on time.
The Person
Must have a good first degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related field as well as Master degree in Finance or MBA.
Must be a professional member of relevant professional bodies, preferably ACA/ALCA.
Must have at least 6 years post NYSC experience (at least one year at supervisory level) in a financial institution.
Should possess good analytical and accounting skills as well the ability to exercise judgment, initiative and discretion at all times.
Excellent (deep) knowledge of all Microsoft applications with special reference to Ms Excel and, should possess a thorough understanding of advanced financial analysis techniques using spreadsheet software.
Must be able to design reports that present both actual and budget data in a concise manner for use by top management in decision
Must possess excellent communication skill; both orally and in writing.
2.) Head (Marketing & Communication)
Overall Objective
To ensure effective planning, development and execution of the company’s marketing and communications activities for continued growth and optimal profitability.
Key Activities
Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing and communications program that will enhance the company’s image and position within the marketplace and facilitate ,internal and external communications activities and materials including publications, media relations for client's acquisition.
Ensures articulation of the company’s desired imge and position, assure consistent communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all company’s publications.
Coordinate media interest in the company and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate- response to media requests.
Ensure that the company regularly conducts relevant market research, review and analyze market surveys on competitor product performance.
Lead projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events planning and budgeting.
Responsible for the achievement of marketing and communications mission, goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress.
Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing and communications program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures necessary for the smooth operation of the marketing and communications function,
Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing and communications and use this information to help the company operate with initiative and innovation.
Develop and maintain a strategic perspective - based on marketplace and constituent needs and satisfaction - in organizational direction, program and services, and decision-making; and, ensure the overall health and vitality of the company.
The Person
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or any other related field is preferred.
Advanced degrees or certifications a plus.
Minimum of seven (7) years experience in marketing and communication with demonstrated success, preferably in the banking or mobile telecommunication sector.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing and communications activities.
Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.
Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel.
Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
Computer skill with proficiency in MS Office applications.
Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Must be an experienced executive who is able to creatively deploy innovative solutions to meet changing- situations and must have capacity to train and mentor rapidly growing staff.
