Job description
Our key client is seeking to hire a Senior Completions supervisor whose main functions shall be to:
the accomplishment of the completion, interventions and work-over operations, in compliance with codes of practice, safety and environmental protection, all while optimising costs and lead times
Preparation, planning and optimisation, execution and follow up of the client's offshore completion operations: lower completions (expandable screens and upper completion), necessary intermediate and upper completions.
Ensure the suitability to operational requirements of personnel, equipment and services
Contribute to the return on Exploration & Production investments, through a continual search for the improving equipment, services and operational procedures
Involve with completion preparation onshore (Port Harcourt and Onne) when required within the well supply team
Responsibilities
Review operations programs
Supervise the implementation of operation programs
Control the activity of contractors and supervisors
Supervise operations
Optimize operations in relation with engineering, geology and reservoir entities
Optimize rig equipment in relation with contractors
Analyze the instantaneous data
Anticipate potential problems and plan alternative strategies
Compose and review operating procedures
Ensure the reliability of technical information
Ensure or control daily and final reporting of wells or of operations
Participate in the production of technical and operational syntheses
Conduct or check costs follow-up
Participate in the preparation of invitations to tender and service/equipment contracts
Optimize the activities of service providers and assess their performance
Ensure the respect of safety rules, of the environment and of the frame of reference
Anticipate needs
Organize and coordinate supplying
Contribute to the improvement of skills and the know-how
Evaluate Service holders
Participate in budget preparation
Train Service holders
Key Task:
Supervise under the final responsibility of the Drilling & Completion Supervisor (Company Man) the following activities:
Offshore completion preparation and operations – issue work instructions, load out lists, run lists, tallies, offline testing.
Sand Control / lower completion operations (SAS/ESS/FP/...) any E-line, Wireline or Coil tubing operations onboard drilling rigs well testing stimulation operations
Ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with programmes, HSE requirements and Company rules.
Advice D&C supervisor for operational schedule and logistic planning.
Liaise with Well Engineering section for studies, engineering input and details required for preparation of completion programmes, plans and contingencies
Coordinate necessary meetings between services companies and rig contractor
Perform post Service closure:
operational debriefs and prepare report of lessons learned (continual improvement philosophy)
Assist in preparation of handover and end of well reports (completion section).
Ensure completion data are properly entered and attachment joined in Wellview data base.
Mentor the Junior supervisor (if any)
Requirements
Proficiency in Drilling, Completions and Work-over Operations
Proficiency in Equipment and technique of implementation
Experience in offshore and offshore driling rigs
Experience in safety of persons and installations
Experience in well and environmental safety
Petroleum Industry graduate to B.Sc. level (or equivalent professional experience
8 - 10 years experience in subsea operations supervision
Knowledge of company requirements and methodology relating to operations practice
