The Federal Public Administration Reform Programme (FEPAR) was designed to provide technical assistance to key Public Service institutions in Nigeria. The purpose of FEPAR is to strengthen core Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) systems and its capacity to deliver public services, with the overall goal of a more capable and accountable Government of Nigeria. FEPAR focuses on five reform areas including support to central policy and planning coordination, civil service reform, public financial management, service improvement and external accountability.
The DFID funded Nigeria Federal Public Administration Reform Programme (FEPAR) is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the role of Technical Adviser to the SERVICOM National Coordinator.
Job Title: Technical Adviser to the Servicom National Coordinator
This advert relates to the Service Delivery Improvement Component with a focus on providing consistent embedded high-level technical assistance to the SERVICOM National Coordinator, to strengthen his role and support the achievement of strategic priorities and delivery of the SERVICOM mandates.
This role will contribute to the achievement of SERVICOM priorities by ensuring adequate levels of facilitation, coordination, support and technical advise to the National Coordinator.
Scope of Work
- Support on internal administration
- Technical advise on strategies to achieve core SERVICOM mandate areas
- Identification of capacity development needs for SERVICOM
- Technical advise and support for strengthening tools and processes for embedding service delivering Improvements
- Support with identification and service delivery improvement models, Coordination of measurement standards for assessing and reporting on results
- Provide advice, training and guidance, where necessary.
Qualification
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in organisational development
- Sound knowledge and relevant experience of performance management, service delivery, customer care strategies and programmes and capacity building
- Experience of facilitating participatory goal oriented training events
- Experience of working with senior officials at high levels within the public service and well-developed knowledge of governance at this level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Timing
This position starts on 15 February 2013 until 14 February 2014, with possibility of extension if mutually agreed.
