Job Description
- To ensure CDD (Customer Due Diligence) Quality assurance is performed on all RM account opening packages and Payroll packages
- Ensure adequate CDD and AML (Anti-money Laundering) measures are deployed in line with the Group and Regulatory requirements
- To ensure workflow is review periodically to improve efficiency and control
- To provide guidance to operational staff in the form of up-to-date procedures/user guides.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure evidence of review is maintained on all payroll accounts
- To ensure CDD QA is carried out on all payroll accounts once submitted by the Central Team
- To ensure that the deficiency on reviewed Payroll Account is communicated to the payroll team and package returned to the payroll officer at CAOS
- To ensure references are updated immediately on the database once the file is reviewed upon receipt from branches
- To ensure that search reports received from Legal and Compliance are updated and accounts unflagged where necessary
- To ensure CDD QA is carried out on all mandate files once submitted by branches
- To ensure evidence of review is maintained in customer file
- To ensure that accounts due for flagging are communicated to the branches.
Qualifications & Skills
- A University Degree.
- A broad and in-depth knowledge of banking practices with relevant working experience in account opening unit
- A good working knowledge of risk management.
- Must be customer-oriented, as a primary responsibility is to ensure that the unit provides a high standard of customer service.
- Good interpersonal and management skills.
- Ability to manage the operation of computer systems – ebbs.
- Microsoft skills – Spreadsheets and word processing.
- Good organization skills
- In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure that they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A discharge certificate will be required as evidence of completion of the programme. Where an exemption has been granted, a certificate of exemption will also be required.
