We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development & Sales Officer

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Creating and implementing sales strategies to increase product adoption and achieve revenue
  • targets.
  • Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Managing the sales pipeline and ensuring timely follow-ups with leads.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to enhance brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Negotiating contracts and closing deals to meet sales targets.
  • Preparing reports on sales performance and business development activities.
  • Attending industry events, networking functions, and business meetings.
  • Performing other tasks assigned.

Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • 2 - 5 years proven experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills to develop and maintain long-term partnerships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing effective sales strategies to increase product adoption and achieve revenue targets.
  • Strong research and analytical skills for conducting market research, competitor analysis, and identifying industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to close deals and negotiate contracts.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-ups with leads.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams, including marketing and executive leadership.
  • High level of motivation, adaptability, and resilience in a target-driven environment.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports on sales performance and business development activities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
