Job Summary
The Senior Programs Manager (SPM) plays a pivotal role in leading the organization’s programmatic strategy, execution, and impact measurement.
This position ensures that all initiatives are aligned with the organization’s mission, evidence-based, and effectively managed.
The SPM is expected to be an analytical thinker, a results-driven leader, and a strong advocate for community transformation.
Responsibilities
Program Strategy, Design & Implementation:
You will develop, implement, and oversee high-impact programs that drive meaningful social change. You will lead the design and adaptation of programs to ensure they remain relevant, scalable, and innovative.
It is essential to ensure that all initiatives align with the organization’s mission, donor expectations, and sector best practices while working closely with the team to set clear goals, targets, and success metrics for every project.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL):
You will be responsible for developing and managing robust MEL frameworks to measure program effectiveness and outcomes.
Utilizing data-driven insights, you will refine and optimize program strategies. In addition, you will prepare detailed reports for both internal and external stakeholders, including donors and partners, and conduct comprehensive program evaluations to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy:
This role involves establishing and maintaining strong relationships with donors, funding agencies, and implementation partners.
You will represent the organization at conferences, policy discussions, and stakeholder forums, while advocating for policies that support our mission and target communities.
Your efforts will include collaborating with local and international partners to amplify program reach and effectiveness.
Grant & Budget Management:
You will oversee the financial planning and budgeting for all programs, ensuring that initiatives adhere to donor requirements, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
Your responsibilities include monitoring program expenditures to ensure cost efficiency and accountability, as well as working closely with the fundraising team to align programs with available grant opportunities.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building:
In this capacity, you will supervise and mentor program staff, fostering professional development and leadership within the team.
You are expected to conduct capacity-building training sessions to enhance overall team effectiveness and promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability across the organization.
