Job Title: Planning Engineer

Location: Akwa Ibom

Job Summary 

• We are looking for a reliable Planning Engineer to Plan, Prepare & Monitoring/Tracking of sub & master-L-2, L-3 & L-4 Schedule for EPC Project Activities along with resources (Manpower, Machinery & Material).
• He will update discipline wise IFC drawings, package procurement status & construction (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation) activities in master schedule. 
• He will prepare & monitor Daily Progress report, Weekly Progress Report, Monthly & Annual Report. He will monitor, update and highlight delays on activities, WBS, Program level and will update timeline for the same on daily basis.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Daily follow up with site engineers regarding ongoing activities at site.
• Highlight all activities which are not in line with the activities baseline.
• Plan, prepare & monitoring/tracking of sub-L-2, L-3 & L-4 Schedule for EPC Project along with Resources. (Scheduling must be effective relation/link (FS, SS,FF,SF) along with proper activity sequence).
• Highlight critical path activities and sub-critical path activities (having less than one week float).
• Preparation of SV & CV (Schedule and Cost Variance)
• In Schedule Allotment/assigning of resources must be levelled (Under allotment/overallotment must be avoided)
• Daily update and tracking discipline wise IFC drawings, package procurement status & construction (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation) activities in master schedule.
• Prepare & monitor Daily Progress report, Weekly & Biweekly Progress Report, Monthly, half yearly & Annual Reports/presentations based on input received from engineering, procurement and construction team.
• Preparation of MIS presentation on weekly, monthly and half yearly and annual basis.
• Preparation and maintain resource availability spreadsheets for the resource available at site.
• Preparation rolling plan (monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual) for site construction materials.
• Preparation of S-Curve for EPC deliverables.
• Graphical (Pie/Gantt/Pert Charts) representation of statistics related to EPC deliverables.
• Coordination with warehouse team regarding MRR, MTR, MCN, MRN, MRR related invoices etc..
• Coordination with site team regarding processing of PR/SR.
• Preparation of PR/SR along with Ivalua sheet.
• Checking of contractors/suppliers invoices/Bill/BOQ, verification of quantity and rate, terms & condition as per contract.
• Coordination with Document control team regarding status of documents, drawings, PR, PO status.
• Coordinate with Site Team and reminder regarding the activities which as delaying as per schedule.
• Coordinate with Buyer/C&P team regarding the status of PR/SR.
• Review the site work progress on daily basis
• Maintain Package Procurement status stage wise (Technical Specification>PR>RFQ>Vendor Finalize >TBE Submission>PO> Phase wise Delivery Schedule with the help of EPC team.
• Preparation of BOQ (ID/IM/RM) from Piping Isometric Drawings.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years relevant proven experience in the Gas based Captive Power Plant/Refinery with Combined Cycle Power Plant, Good Scheduler/Planner, Work Sequence planning, Experience of EPC Project with all discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of Planning software Primavera-P-6 Cloud/P-6 Professional/ Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) and Microsoft Projects.
• Expert knowledge of preparing schedules -L2, L-3 & L-4 for the EPC Projects along with assignment of Resources and Cost.
• Must have good knowledge of CPM. (Critical Path Method)
• Tracking of Project schedule on the Unit Basis, Percentage Basis and Physical Basis.
• Knowledge of construction (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrument) activities sequence.
• Should have prior relevant experience of EPC project.
• Understanding of all facts of the EPC Projects
• Familiarity with EPC activities sequence.
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
• Previous experience working for the Owner, Consultant or EPC contractor on large projects is essential.
• Leadership and human resources management skills
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Previous working experience with expatriates (Optional).
• Effective oral and written communications and excellent interpersonal skills .
• Must be self-motivated, results oriented, and be flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast paced multi-disciplinary team environment
• Capable of reading all Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Structural drawings and brief to downline.
• Problem resolver with good solution.
• Must be good in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power points etc.)
• Capable of taking BBS from GA drawings
• Capable of checking the invoices/Bill/BOQ
• Should be proactive rather than reactive.
• Capable of managing Timeline on all Levels
• Capable of preparing BOQ (ID/IM/RM) from Piping Isometric Drawings.
• Capable of preparing status spreadsheets for resources, procurement packages, engineering documents and drawing.
• Knowledge of SPI & CPI (Schedule & Cost performance Index)
• Knowledge of SV, CV (Schedule and Cost Variance), Earned Value.
