Matrix Energy Group is a rapidly growing indigenous and integrated Oil Marketing and Trading Company in Nigeria, which was incorporated November 25, 2004. Over the years, Matrix Energy has grown from a modest supply and distributions operation to a fully integrated petroleum products marketing and trading company with clients and suppliers all over the world.
The Supply and Distribution Officer is responsible for managing the entire supply and distribution process.
The Supply and Distribution Officer also ensures the efficient and timely delivery of goods and services to customers, and oversees the distribution, and invoicing processes.
This role plays a crucial part in maintaining seamless operations between the supply chain, haulage, and customer delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimizing disruptions in the distribution process.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Prospect for new customers that meets Matrix risk acceptance criteria
Complete registration modalities for new customers
Attend to Customer queries on product availability, Prices for the day, and Quality of product.
Ensure all supply and delivery transactions are properly documented for weekly submission to Accounts.
Ensure timely follow-up on all customer deliveries to prevent service failures, coordinating with relevant departments such as Haulage, depot sales, depot operation etc.
Implement and adopt effective marketing penetration strategies.
Strengthen existing relationships to boost Matrix's market share by scheduling regular marketing calls.
Provide weekly reports on customer credit exposure to mitigate concentration risk.
Monitor outstanding payments and send reminders before due dates.
Conduct weekly customer balance reconciliation with the client and fiancé team to ensure alignment between customer and company records.
Oversee existing customers in the absence of the Relationship Manager.
Re-engage previous customers who meet our risk acceptance criteria.
Advise the Haulage & sales team on outstanding customer order requests by Close of Business.
Resolution of all customer complaints by Close of Business and all major issues within 24 hours
Escalation of major issues not resolvable after 24 hours to the Head, Corporate Sales such as shortage issues, driver detention, or driver delay in reaching customers’ sites.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
Minimum of Higher National Diploma, bachelor’s degree in social sciences, sales/marketing, business administration, or business management discipline.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a marketing role. Experience in petroleum product marketing will be an added advantage
Professional sales/marketing qualifications such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), and the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) are an added advantage
Skills and Behavior:
Sales acumen.
In-depth knowledge of the basic concept of marketing
Sound knowledge of business strategy articulation, monitoring, and implementation; articulation of sales strategy and planning, sales performance analysis.
Ability to draw insights from marketing analytics and generate leads.
Experience in planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and management software. cultural teams effectively.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Ability to work in a performance driven environment and highly result oriented
Ability to pay attention to details.
Good negotiation and influencing skills to build and maintain strategic relationships within and outside Matrix Energy.
