The purpose of this role is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction for key accounts in the dairy sector with additional cross category responsibilities in beverages, bakery, and confectionery.
This role involves developing and implementing strategic account plans, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and identifying new business opportunities.
The KAM will play a pivotal role in delivering the company's growth agenda for dairy products in the West African francophone market.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key dairy accounts across West Africa.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and execute account-specific strategies to drive revenue growth and market share within the dairy segment.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
Achieve sales targets and objectives, including volume, revenue, and profitability goals.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
Monitor dairy industry trends in West Africa to understand market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer demands.
Account Management & Relationship Building:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key dairy accounts across West Africa.
Act as the primary point of contact between the company and clients, understanding customer needs and aligning solutions to meet their objectives.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and execute account-specific strategies to drive revenue growth and market share within the dairy segment.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
Achieve sales targets and objectives, including volume, revenue, and profitability goals.
Market & Competitor Analysis
Monitor dairy industry trends in West Africa to understand market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer demands.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Engagement:
Work closely with the R&D, operations, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on product offerings and timely delivery.
Collaborate with other sales and account management teams to share insights and best practices.
Forecasting & Budgeting:
Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets for key accounts within the dairy sector.
Track and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in key account management, sales, or a similar role within the dairy or food industry, with proven results in West Africa francophone.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the dairy industry, including product trends, market challenges, and regulatory requirements in West Africa francophone.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English and French.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Travel: Willingness to travel within the West Africa region as needed.
