We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lounge Manager

Location: Ilasa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Lounge Manager is responsible for the successful day-to-day operations of the lounge, ensuring smooth service, customer satisfaction, and a vibrant atmosphere that drives consistent revenue.
  • The role includes overseeing staff, managing inventory, coordinating events and promotions, handling publicity and social media, and ensuring the lounge remains an engaging and profitable space.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Customer Service:

  • Supervise daily lounge activities, ensuring smooth service delivery.
  • Maintain a consistent, welcoming ambiance aligned with brand identity.
  • Respond to customer feedback and complaints with tact and professionalism.

Team Leadership & Scheduling:

  • Lead, train, and manage all front-of-house staff including waitresses, bartenders, and hosts.
  • Prepare and manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for peak and off-peak hours.
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on performance and customer service.
  • Monitor attendance, conduct spot-checks, and address performance or behavioral issues promptly.
  • Focus on retaining high-performing staff, particularly waitresses, to minimize frequent turnover.

Event Planning & Turnout:

  • Plan and execute events such as themed nights, private parties, and lounge experiences.
  • Work with the Administrative Manager and Accountant to forecast event needs (stock, staff, etc.).
  • Ensure proper promotion of events to drive premium customer attendance and achieve ROI.
  • Track event performance and adjust future planning based on turnout and sales impact.

Sales & Financial Performance:

  • Work with management to meet weekly and monthly sales targets.
  • Monitor drink and food sales, track expenses, and control unnecessary costs or wastage.
  • Submit daily and weekly sales reports; flag unusual patterns or revenue drops.

Inventory & Stock Control:

  • Maintain up-to-date records of bar stock, supplies, and equipment.
  • Conduct weekly stock counts, restock as needed, and reduce losses.
  • Ensure drinks and supplies are fresh, properly stored, and presented.

Publicity & Social Media:

  • Handle lounge publicity and manage all social media pages (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok etc.).
  • Create engaging content, post regularly, and respond to customer inquiries or DMs.
  • Promote weekly events, customer experiences, and seasonal promotions online.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers or photographers when needed for content creation.

Compliance & Cleanliness:

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation protocols at all times.
  • Uphold internal standards for hygiene, uniform, and staff conduct.
  • Organize deep cleaning routines and enforce daily cleanliness checks.

Reporting & Collaboration:

  • Submit weekly reports covering sales, staff performance, customer feedback, and stock status.
  • Join weekly management meetings and share key updates from the lounge.
  • Stay connected on WhatsApp platforms for management coordination and updates.

Competitor & Market Awareness:

  • Monitor trends in nightlife, customer preferences, and competitor offerings.
  • Suggest improvements to the lounge’s menu, entertainment, and service style.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in lounge, bar, or restaurant management.
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills, especially in customer-facing roles.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, stock management, and supplier relations.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and lounge operational software.
  • Basic understanding of marketing, promotions, and social media management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Problem-solving mindset and capacity to handle pressure in fast-paced environments.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
