Job Title: Head, Institutional Sales

Job Purpose
We need a seasoned sales expert with a proven track record in achieving and or surpassing sales targets.
One, who will be responsible for growing the local institutional investors' clientele base by prospecting and signing on new clients, managing existing relationships to ensure optimum customer retention, and income generation from sales of all products and services to local institutional investors.
The role holder is to coordinate and supervise the activities of the unit.
Responsibilities
Provide highly specialized investment advice and selling of all company services and products to local institutional investors.
Formulate investment opinions, disseminate research reports, and engage local institutional clients in meaningful discussions.
Onboard local institutional clients in various sectors of the economy e.g. PFAs, Insurance, Asset Managers, Religious bodies, Government Parastatals, etc.
Provide expert opinion to media, investors, and prospects.
Identify opportunities and develop relationships with local institutional investors and investment consultants.
Identify and cultivate prospects and/or clients.
Initiate and follow up on new business opportunities.
Lead new business meetings and close sales to local institutional investors.
Leverage the organization’s relationship with existing local institutional investors by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing relationship management initiatives.
Come up with innovative ideas to drive the business operations
Assist in the development and launching of new products.
Perform any other assigned duty and responsibility as may be assigned by Management from time to time.
Job Requirements
Education:
A Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, or equivalent technical qualification.
Minimum of Second Class Lower.
A Second Degree and/or Completion of Relevant Professional Certification will be an added advantage.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate degree and /or other professional certification such as CIS, CFA, CIBN, and other relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years’ experience of which a minimum of five (5) years should be in a similar role and a minimum of 3 out of those 5 years must have been in a Management Position.

Sound knowledge of all products and services and sound understanding of the dynamics of investment and risk management.
