Description 

• As the company scales its operations, we are seeking an Accountant with experience in project-based accounting, financial tracking, and client payment follow-ups, to join their finance team.

Position Overview

• The Accountant will be responsible for managing and monitoring multiple ongoing projects, ensuring accurate tracking of project costs, revenues, and payments. The ideal candidate must possess strong accounting skills, experience in bank reconciliation, payroll, PAYE, and management accounts, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Familiarity with the telecommunications or engineering industry will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and track financial performance across multiple telecom projects.
• Monitor project budgets, expenditures, invoices, and client payments.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Work closely with project teams to follow up on bids, contract documentation, and project-related financial submissions.
• Liaise with clients to track payment statuses and escalate delays as necessary.
• Prepare and submit management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow statements.
• Handle payroll processing, PAYE deductions, and statutory remittances in compliance with regulations.
• Support internal and external audit processes and ensure financial documentation is up to date.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a telecommunication, engineering, or project-based organization.
• Proven experience working as a Project Accountant, with strong understanding of project costing and budget control.
• Solid knowledge of bank reconciliation, payroll administration, PAYE, and management reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
• ICAN/ACCA certification (or in progress) is an added advantage.
• Experience Level: Mid-Level (5–6years)
