Job Summary
The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading the daily sales operations, developing business strategies, expanding market presence, and ensuring revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned IT sales professional with a deep understanding of the tech landscape, capable of articulating complex solutions and nurturing strategic client relationships.
This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can analyze customer behavior, anticipate market trends, and deliver tailored solutions that align with client goals while promoting upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the company’s suite of products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of sales strategies to meet and exceed quarterly revenue targets.
Identify new business opportunities and expand sales pipelines across target sectors.
Work closely with service management teams to scale existing managed services and retain key accounts.
Develop guiding principles and establish performance metrics for all sales activities.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the sales team, fostering a culture of performance, professionalism, and ethical behavior.
Relay upper management objectives, set and divide sales quotas, and ensure team alignment on strategic goals.
Produce weekly and monthly sales engagement plans, detailing customer engagement activities, revenue status, pipeline health, and forecasts.
Deliver periodic sales and opportunity reports to management, providing insights derived from pipeline analysis and lead behavior.
Champion client satisfaction and build long-term strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Key Requirements
MBA or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or sales roles within the IT or Tech space (compulsory).
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets, particularly in value-based or consultative selling environments.
Experience in complex software solutions sales, including end-to-end product lifecycle engagement.
Exceptional ability to deliver solutions-based pitches, aligning product benefits with client needs.
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical capabilities.
Proficiency in CRM tools and data-driven sales strategies.
