Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Magodo GRA, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. 
• In this role, you will play a pivotal role in financial management and cost control of our construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in quantity surveying
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a QS within the construction Industry
• Membership with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors is preferable
• Candidate must be able to work outside of Lagos

Skills / Expertise:

• Construction knowledge: in-depth understanding of construction methods, materials and labor involved.
• Cost estimation & Budgeting: ability to prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, including material, labor and overhead costs. Also proficient in budgeting and ensuring that projects stay within financial constraints.
• Project Management: she must possess strong organizational and time management skills, capability to oversee multiple aspects of a project, including timelines, procurement and quality assurance.
• Risk Management: Identifying and analyzing potential risks to the project budget and timeline and creating strategies to mitigate those risks.
• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with construction methodologies, building regulations and material specifications, ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with software tools like CostX, Bluebeam, Sage 300, Excel and other project management or cost estimation software.
• Attention to detail: Precision in measuring quantities, costs and managing financial records.
• Legal and Contractual Knowledge: A strong grasp of construction law, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
• Cost Control & Value Management: Ability to monitor ongoing projects, control costs and ensure financial efficiency throughout the construction life-Cycle.
