Job Title: Condition Based Maintenance Engineer

The Condition Based Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring effective coordination of work, reports on activities, and analyses equipment condition to maintain and optimise operations and performance.
Responsibilities
Contributes to the building of Methods and Support activities within the Maintenance entity.
Carries out CBM vibration surveys on site as per planning developed by the CBM Lead and issues reports accordingly
Follows up with the site to ensure that all actions arising from the CBM Surveys are promptly closed
Carries out Lube Oil sampling as per the planning, performs laboratory analysis of the samples as required and issues reports accordingly.
Advises the site on the outcome of the Lube Oil analysis and the actions required to be carried out to ensure equipment availability.
Reviews advice and follows up on the acceptable process for Lube Oil management on site.
Carries out gas leak investigation/surveys on sites and makes estimates of the leakage rates of valves. Also, develop an action plan to close out the leaks on the concerned valves.
Participates in RAID meetings with HQ and Smart Room and follows up with TADMs and site to ensure the closure of the actions arising therefrom.
Assists in vibration analyses and other analyses including all methods-related activities as required by the CBM Lead.
In constant liaison with the Smart Room Engineers, Maintenance disciplines TADM and Methods Engineers to follow-up actions with regards to the results of the different CBM measurement campaigns.
Follow up with the site on all the corrective actions recommended following analyses to ensure that they are properly implemented. Visits site whenever the need arises and physically assists in carrying out specialized activities following CBM results (balancing, alignment, rotor axial position adjustment, proximity gaps setting, etc,)
Issue regular CBM reports as necessary to show big machinery's health status and highlight pending problems.
Take ownership of all CBM tools on sites and at the base, and act to ensure their proper usage and safekeeping
Carries out infra-red thermography campaigns on electrical switchboards and ensures timely execution and report interpretation. Follow up with the site on the corrective actions arising therefrom.
Follows up the Condition Based Monitoring of electrical motors, takes data and liaises with responsible Contractors to interpret and proffer solutions to equipment issues.
Carry out boroscope inspection on turbogenerators when required and issue reports
Follow up SAP Work Orders to ensure proper preparation, closeout and reporting on all CBM-related activities on-site
Assists in any other way considered necessary in his capacity, to support the CBM Leader and the maintenance team objective to ensure efficient site support and good availability and reliability of rotating equipment.
Carries out First Level Maintenance site surveys as may be required, generates reports, and follows up closure upon completion
Participate in the preparation and reporting for Maintenance entity activities including the issuance of dashboards and reports
Control and administer the technical and administrative documentation within the Maintenance entity including engineering and vendor technical documentation and ensure update of CMIMS, EDMS, and servers.
Responsible for ensuring that the equipment registers are kept up-to-date and that maintenance records are validated at the proper level, properly reported, recorded and maintained in the dedicated databases.
Ensure that equipment availability and reliability are at their optimum.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education: BSc/BEng in Engineering
Vibration ISO Cat II Certification, based on the ISO 18436-3
Professional experience: 10 years in Oil & Gas environment
5 years experience in Condition Based and Predictive Maintenance
Experience in maintenance support especially in field maintenance capacity
Good knowledge of CBM tools (OROS, Bentley Nevada, OneProd, Allen Bradley, etc.)
Good knowledge of planning tools, and CMIMS tools (preferably SAP-based)
Preferred Skills:

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and Excel
