Job Title: Finance / Treasury Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Scope of the Role

• The Finance/Treasury Officer will be responsible for managing the company’s Payment Solution Service Provider (PSSP) and International Money Transfer Operator (IMTO) operations. 
• This includes ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting seamless financial transactions, and contributing to broader finance initiatives. 
• The role requires close collaboration with Finance, Operations, and Compliance teams to maintain efficiency and accuracy across all payment systems.
• Candidate should reside in Abuja or be open to relocate to Abuja with little or no assistance.

Specific Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transactions, settlements, and reconciliations for all PSSP and IMTO-related activities.
• Ensure seamless processing of inbound and outbound payments.
• Monitor fund movements across partner banks, digital wallets, and settlement accounts, ensuring sufficient liquidity for transactions.
• Work closely with banks, financial institutions, and payment partners to reconcile PSSP and IMTO settlements, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure adherence to CBN guidelines, AML/KYC requirements, and remittance regulations governing PSSPs and IMTOs. Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required.
• Maintain strong relationships with partner banks, PSSPs, IMTOs, financial regulators and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any transaction challenges.
• Optimize the use of funds to maximize returns while minimizing risk.
• Analyze transaction trends, service fees, and partner commission structures to optimize revenue from payment processing and remittance services.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with cross-border payments, transaction failures, and fraud in PSSP and IMTO operations.
• Prepare regular reports on transaction volumes, revenue, and other key metrics.
• Work closely with Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams to enhance financial operations, system integrations, and strategic initiatives.
• Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned by the CFO.

Technical Knowledge / Minimum Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, are an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in treasury operations, financial services, or payment processing preferably in the Financial Technology industry. 
• In-depth knowledge of CBN regulations, AML/KYC compliance, and international remittance guidelines affecting PSSPs and IMTOs.
• Proficiency in treasury management software, banking platforms, and payment gateways used for financial settlements and reconciliations.
• Experience with treasury systems, payment gateways, and banking platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with banks, financial partners, and regulatory bodies.
• Must reside in Abuja.
