We are seeking an experienced and visionary Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy, governance, and performance of our finance company across all subsidiaries and business units.
The Group CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for ensuring financial health, regulatory compliance, capital management, and long-term value creation.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in the financial services industry, with a strong grasp of complex financial structures, risk management, and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy Development & Execution:
Define and execute comprehensive financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals. Focus on optimizing resource allocation for maximum returns and prioritizing high-impact investments to drive business growth.
Investment Management:
Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities that will further the company’s growth and profitability. Make data-driven decisions and manage investment portfolios efficiently.
Business Processes and Controls:
Establish robust financial business processes and controls to ensure compliance and accuracy across the organization. Promote efficiency, scalability, and flexibility in all financial systems and operations.
Performance Culture & Financial KPIs:
Cultivate a performance-driven culture by establishing clear financial KPIs, monitoring progress, and implementing feedback loops for continuous improvement and alignment with company objectives.
Group Growth & Strategic Solutions:
Investigate new business opportunities, identifying growth gaps, and develop innovative solutions to exploit these opportunities while ensuring financial soundness and strategic alignment.
Risk Management:
Oversee the development and execution of risk management strategies, identifying potential financial risks and implementing proactive measures to mitigate them across the group.
Team Building & Development:
Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel.
Digital Transformation:
Champion the use of digital tools and technologies to streamline and automate financial workflows. Promote innovation within financial systems, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and flexibility.
Treasury Management:
Manage the group’s treasury function, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and funding strategies, ensuring optimal cash management and financial health.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or CFA are essential.
An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred, especially with a focus on strategic leadership and problem-solving.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial management role.
Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning.
Financial System Design: Extensive experience in designing financial systems that are scalable and flexible to accommodate business growth and change.
Strategic Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Able to present complex data and insights clearly and effectively.
Critical Thinking & Innovation: Strong analytical skills with the ability to challenge assumptions, identify business opportunities, and create innovative financial strategies that align with corporate objectives.
Digital Literacy: Proficient in leveraging digital tools to optimize financial workflows, including automation, data analytics, and business intelligence platforms.
Leadership & Team Development : Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, with a focus on learning, accountability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Proactive Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying and solving complex financial challenges with an ability to think critically and adapt to changing business environments.
