Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic ICT Teacher to join our primary school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching ICT skills to students across various age groups, incorporating digital literacy, and ensuring a safe online environment. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, creative, and passionate about using technology to enhance learning.
Key Responsibilities
Teach ICT skills: Deliver engaging and interactive ICT lessons to primary students, following the Cambridge curriculum.
Digital literacy: Foster digital literacy skills in students, including online safety, digital citizenship, and responsible technology use.
Child safety and protection: Ensure a safe online environment, adhering to child protection policies and guidelines.
Lesson planning: Develop and implement well-structured ICT lesson
Assessment and feedback: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and report on student achievement.
Collaboration: Work with colleagues to integrate ICT across the curriculum and promote cross-disciplinary learning.
Staying up-to-date: Continuously update knowledge and skills in ICT, incorporating new technologies and teaching methodologies.
Requirements
Teaching qualification: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, with a focus on ICT or Computer Science.
ICT expertise: Strong knowledge of computer systems, software, and digital tools.
Child safety and protection: Understanding of child protection policies and guidelines, with the ability to ensure a safe online environment.
Creativity and adaptability: Ability to design engaging lessons, adapt to different age groups, and incorporate digital skills across the curriculum.
Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with students, teachers, and parents.
Continuous learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying updated on ICT trends, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cambridge ICT certification: Certification in Cambridge ICT or related field.
Experience: Previous experience teaching ICT in a primary school setting.
Digital pedagogy: Understanding of digital pedagogy and its application in the classroom.
