Chaplain at the Chapel of Revelation (COR)

The Chapel of Revelation (COR) is the inter-denominational Protestant Chapel in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State. She submits to the ministry of the Holy Spirit through the leadership of the Chapel Council. Her goal is to meet the spiritual needs of her members and the environment.

Requirements
Candidates with the following qualifications are invited to apply for the position of the Chaplain: 

• Be born again and Spirit-filled, with sound Christian testimony.
• Be a trained and ordained minister of the gospel in a Protestant Church.
• Have a Christian character and testimony as enshrined in 1 Timothy 3;.
• Hold at least a Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma, obtained from a recognized educational institution, and be able to communicate effectively in English language.
• Be married to one spouse, and have good family testimony.
• Have some pastoral experience. He should, at the time of assumption of duty, be at least forty (40) years and at most fifty-five (55) years of age.

Responsibilities
The major functions include:

• Give spiritual leadership to the Chapel.
• Arrange for and preside over divine worship and services in the Chapel.
• Work in consultation with the Chapel Council on all matters affecting the general welfare of the Chapel.
• Coordinate and supervise the activities of the various groups in the Chapel.
• Perform other functions as may be delegated to him by the Chapel Congregation or the Chapel Council.

Tenure

• The Chaplain shall serve a three-year term in the first instance. 
• He/she may be eligible for a second term of three years.

• Ten (10) copies of all credentials (including O' level certificate or the equivalent).
• Three referees and their addresses (one of whom must have pastored or been pastored by the candidate). Referees should write and submit a confidential report in respect of the candidate.
• Ten (10) copies of the statement of the vision and mission of the candidate.
