Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) - Buoyed by a mission to redefine customer experience and be the provider of choice wherever energy is consumed, the Ikeja Electric (IE), Nigeria's largest power distribution network, came into existence on November 1st, 2013 following the handover of the defunct Power Holding Company Of Nigeria (PHCN) to NEDC/ KEPCO Consortium under the privatization scheme of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
As a Vigilance Strategy and Monitoring Officer, you will play a key role in field operations that support the strategic objective of reducing unbilled energy.
Your work will directly contribute to revenue protection, fraud detection, and compliance enforcement, ensuring the efficient delivery of electricity services.
You’ll contribute to:
Conducting field activities aimed at identifying and reducing unbilled energy losses.
Analyzing customer data to provide insights that drive proactive field operations and identify revenue leakages.
Investigating whistleblower reports on illegal electricity use and providing detailed reports to stakeholders.
Carrying out meter recertification and DT validation exercises for accurate energy accounting.
Enforcing sanctions on consumers involved in electricity theft or illegal connections, in line with regulatory provisions.
Contributing to commercial loss reduction initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with Quality Management System (QMS)
Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards, and all applicable regulations.

Technical Competencies:
Familiarity with technical field work, use of work tools and personal protective equipment.
Knowledge of the various types of electricity metering infrastructure.
Knowledge of the electricity supply chain value system
Knowledge of the electricity regulatory codes and requirements
Knowledge of various forms of meter manipulations and other forms of energy theft

Minimum Requirements
This opportunity is an entry-level role.
You will assist in implementing vigilance strategies, tracking key risk indicators, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
This role directly reports to the Vigilance Strategy & Monitoring Specialist. Successful applicants will possess the following criteria :
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Engineering, technology (limited to chemical, electrical, civil, production and mechanical), Physics and Mathematics
Work Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in the power sector.
