Job Title: French Speaking Accountant

Location: Lagos ((with willingness to travel to French-speaking countries)
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

• We are seeking a skilled and dynamic French-speaking Accounts Manager to join our team. 
• The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and overseeing accounting functions, ensuring financial integrity, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. 
• The candidate must be ICAN-certified and fluent in French to communicate effectively with French-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accounting duties, including bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
• Work closely with senior management to assess financial risks and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with French-speaking stakeholders and clients, ensuring smooth coordination and clarity in financial matters.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, audits, and tax filings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support and insights.
• Manage the budgeting process and oversee financial controls within the organization.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Qualifications

• HND/BSc Degree in Accounting.
• Proven experience in accounting, finance, or a related field (5+ years preferred).
• Fluent in French (both spoken and written) with the ability to engage effectively with French-speaking clients and stakeholders.
• An ICAN certification is required.
• Strong understanding of international accounting standards and practices.
• Experience in managing accounting systems, financial statements, and reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel to French-speaking countries as required by the business.
• Suitable candidate should not be older than 35 years.

Salary
N500,000 per month.
