Roles and Responsibilities
Field Operations Supervisor – Operations/Mechanical will be responsible for the following:
Lead a team of operators to deliver simple and complex activities in the plant.
Competent in PTW management and administration.
Prepare Worksite for safe execution of Maintenance & Operations activities.
Management of facility shutdown & Isolation process.
Apply the emergency response procedure where and when necessary.
Knowledgeable about the Shell’s MOPO & SIMOPS in Management of concurrent activities in Otumara/Escravos Node fields.
Monitor HSE performance key indicators and ensure targets are achieved, report incidents (UA/UC/Near Misses) for tracking and closeout.
Process optimization and make Proposals for Improvement and follow through to achieve benefits.
Participate in internal audits and ensure resulting action items are completed within agreed timeline.
Apply the HSSE policy, legislations applicable to crude oil transfer and export.
Adherence to plant operational procedures using SOP’s.
Supervision of contractors for compliance with all relevant HSE procedures.
Maintain status records of all wellheads in the field & good housekeeping of Well Head Platforms/Locations.
Management of SHOC Cards to ensure correct and specific SHOC cards are available on site.
Monitor, control and record production rates and performance.
Start-up wells and facilities (hot and cold start).
Perform basic troubleshooting on wells and facilities to ensure stability.
Perform daily First Line Monitoring (FLM) of process variables/parameters.
Gather daily production data, determine the production performance.
Participate in console review meeting, Daily notification and YTT review meeting.
Prepare daily production report for Daily Production Review (DPR)
Execute daily communication and Shift handover.
Ensure optimized chemical injection rates are followed as advised.
Collaborate with other disciplines to execute planned activities.
Perform monthly well test and sampling of producing wells and MER test as scheduled.
Perform periodic well integrity assurance tasks and activities.
Supervise preparation of equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming, and other procedures as required.
Bean inspection/change out and Bean inventory management.
Good knowledge of Ensure Safe production (ESP) – Proactive monitoring and alarm management.
Skill in operation of Gas Dehydration & Gas Dew pointing Systems – Glycol regeneration Unit and Low Temperature Separator units.
Skill in Compressor operation and Management.
The Field Supervisor PACO/Electrical:
Panel integrated Control, Safety Instrumented and Fire & Gas Systems.
Ensure periodic health checks on Human Machine Interface workstations and Servers. Systems fault diagnosis and recovery. Of Allen Bradley, DeltaV, Foxboro, Solar Turbine, Siemen, System one etc
Access and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); Cause and Effects Matrix (C&E); Process Flow Scheme (PFS); Functional Logic Diagram (FLD); Instrument Loop Drawings (ILD) and Process Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS) required for fault tracing and issues resolutions.
Work closely with service Contractor(s) towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.
Initiate and follow up with spares procurement towards expedited delivery for maintenance execution.
Ensure technical integrity of assets through Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities, quality assurance and performance standard verification of safety critical equipment.
Ensure field instrumentation availability and reliability towards meeting business targets on hydrocarbon processing and export operations.
Maintain Systems availability for the continuous operation of the facility.
Identifying critical spares and follow-up ordering and delivery.
Integrate with other disciplines to achieve Asset integrity on continuous basis.
Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation, and close-out.
Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent
Liaise with the Supervisors to raise quarterly materials inventory and raise Purchase Request for shortfalls.
Follow-up Procurement for ordered spares and materials until delivery.
To enable the end-to-end process of material purchasing using Companies Material Management “ways of working” and manage the Requisition-to-Pay (RtP) Process.
Maintain an accurate parts inventory at all times and work with inventory management to optimize spare parts inventory stocked.
Support teams in developing the work scope, milestone plans & resource mobilization plan.
Work in collaboration with Field Discipline Maintenance Team in managing the work preparation to ensure the planning for Preventive Maintenances (PMs), Corrective Maintenances (CMs), and Turnaround activities are fully organized prior to execution, meeting Integrated Activity Plan (IAP) short and medium-term planning KPIs.

Experience
Academics Bachelors/HND/OND/IVQ LEVEL 5 or equivalent in Mechanical/electrical/electronic Engineering discipline or any science.
Age < 60 years.
Minimum of 12 years working as a field Operations Technician, PACO/Mechanical/Electrical technician or permit coordinator in an oil and gas producing field location.
Must have at least five (5) years’ experience in Otumara Node (former SPDC asset).
Skills (Added advantage):
Ability to read and interpret Process/Utility Engineering Flow Schemes (PEFS/UEFS) and process drawings.
Skill level at PTW management/Coordination.
Basic understanding of Distributed control system (Delta V).
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
Demonstration of a full knowledge of wellhead systems & integrity management (installation, completion and testing of various components and seals)
Experience in oil wellhead operations and troubleshooting skills.
A good understanding of the working principles of field instrumentation and process automation systems.
T_BOSIET certification
Experience in the maintenance of hydrocarbon and water processing equipment
Electrical Maintenance Field Supervisor should be skill in maintenance of HV motors, MOVs, switch gears, clink system & MCCs.
Electrical Maintenance Field Supervisor should be an appointed Competent person (SAEP) in
Terminal Operations or other areas/ assets with high voltage installations and experienced in
High Voltage Electrical Distribution Network
Mechanical maintenance field supervisor should have capacity to provide operations with engineering support to troubleshoot all rotating & static equipment problems and provide detailed analysis and recommendation to these problems.
Mechanical maintenance field supervisor should have basic knowledge/ skill in pump alignment, rotor balancing, clearance checks, machining operation, material selection, etc.
PACO field supervisor must have competence in General instrumentation and 2 out of the following areas: DeltaV DCS/SIS engineering and maintenance; Allen Bradley Systems engineering and maintenance; Foxboro Systems engineering and maintenance.
Field Instrumented Pneumatic / DCS systems.
Experience in CAO/SCADA/SMAR Systems.
Experience in PLC system configuration and troubleshooting
Soft Skills Strong Communication & interpersonal relationship skills.
