Job Title: Security Control Room Operative / Watchkeeper
Locations: Nun River and Gbaran - Bayelsa, Soku and Port Harcourt - Rivers and Delta
Job Summary
The Security Control Room Operative will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security-related incidents in real-time, providing situational awareness and supporting the safe and secure operations of company assets.
Responsibiltiies
Primary Deliverables:
Monitoring: Continuously monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment to identify potential security threats.
Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, including alarms, breaches, and other emergencies.
Communication: Liaise with security personnel, emergency services, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, including incident reports and logs.
Situation Awareness: Provide real-time situational awareness to support informed decision-making by security management and other stakeholders.
Secondary Deliverables:
Shift Handover Reports: Ensure comprehensive handover reports are completed at the end of each shift, highlighting key incidents, ongoing issues, and recommendations for the next shift.
Security Incident Analysis: Conduct preliminary analysis of security incidents to identify root causes, trends, and areas for improvement.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with security protocols, procedures, and regulations, reporting any deviations or concerns to management.
System Maintenance: Perform routine checks on security systems, equipment, and software to ensure optimal functionality and report any issues to management.
Training and Development: Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging threats.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of OND in any discipline or equivalent.
Experience: 2 - 3 years of experience in security operations, preferably in an oil and gas environment.
Training: Completion of security-related training programs, such as security management, crisis management, or emergency response.
Certifications: Possession of relevant security certifications, such as PSP (Physical Security Professional) or equivalent is an added advantage.
Language: Fluency in English language (written and spoken).
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with security management software.

Physical and Mental Demands:
Shift Work: Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
High-Pressure Environment: Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, responding to security incidents and emergencies.
Mental Alertness: Ability to maintain mental alertness and focus during long periods of monitoring and surveillance.
Salary
N150,000 - N300,000 monthly.
