Job Title: Head of Software - Telecom Applications

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Operations, Architecture, Solutions and Project delivery team, driving and entrenching a bi-modal delivery culture in IS and putting in place a reliable support system with clear processes and procedures and tools for measuring solution and projects delivery and performance.
• Investigate new applications in support of Company's strategy and lead the process of selection of suitable technologies and manage related negotiations with suppliers accordingly.
• Review the array of technologies available for Company processes and advise business users of the best possible solutions based on their requirements, growth, emerging technologies and Company's objective. 
• Define Solution and Enterprise architecture principles, standards and guidelines, and blueprints.
• Enable an agile and integrated architectural environment contributing to a more robust landscape, increased revenue. agility, standardization, reusability, time to market, simplicity and reducing risks, duplication and failures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any related discipline. 
• Master's Degree in Computer Science would be added advantage.

Experience, Attributes & Skills Required:

• Minimum of 15 year's experience in software development in telecoms environment.
• Strong DevOps focus and experience building, deploying and operating infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies like ansible, chef, puppet, etc. 
• Experience in Enterprise Architecture, web services, Front and Backend Application design and development.
• Extensive knowledge of Micro Services architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of Project Management principles, disciplines, software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Proficiency in various programming languages.
• Windows, Linux and Unix experience required.
• Experience with Scrum / Agile development methodologies.
