Advocacy for Resilience and Innovative Solutions for Youths, Women, and Children Empowerment (ARISE Youths, Women, and Children) is a women-led, non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the prolonged hardships caused by insurgency, natural disasters, and economic adversity into pathways for growth and renewal.
Our organization is dedicated to contributing to efforts that address pressing needs within vulnerable communities. We work alongside partners to support initiatives in areas like education, food security and livelihood, protection, climate action, good governance, and Health/nutrition. By focusing on these areas, we aim to empower marginalized populations, especially youth, women, and children, creating pathways to resilience and sustainable growth.

Job Title: Graphic Designer, Media, Communications and Advocacy Officer (Volunteer)
As the Social Media and Content Strategy Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective social media and content strategies aimed at growing our online presence, driving traffic, and increasing engagement.
This role requires advanced knowledge of social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing trends, with the ability to turn followers into advocates and leverage social media to generate income.
Creative skills such as video editing, voice-over work, motion graphics, and graphic design are crucial for this position.
You’ll work across different thematic areas in the organization including, Education, Innovative Digital Solutions, Agriculture, Climate and Food Security, Livelihoods, Governance, and health/nutrition.
This is your chance to enhance our creative and digital in-house offerings, working on diverse projects that span print and digital media.
Job Responsibilities
Design digital media, print materials, presentations, and social media content, including motion graphics and animations.
Interpret briefs and present design concepts for feedback and approval.
Collaborate with project managers, copywriters, and data analysts to ensure cohesive messaging.
Research and gather data for informed infographic designs that align with brand guidelines.
Develop mini-brands, campaign concepts, and optimized designs for both web and print.
Review, revise, and conduct quality checks on designs to meet high standards.
Manage multiple projects, maintain organized project files, update project management tools, and communicate status updates.
Work within budget constraints, adhering to timelines and priorities.
Stay current with industry trends, incorporating best practices and performance data.
Support branding, website redesigns, multimedia communications, and contribute to the development of design standards.
Requirements
Degree or certification in Visual Art, Graphic Design, Digital Design, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment, with a proven track record in digital and print media design.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with strong skills in storytelling and visual content creation.
Experience with financial presentations and thematic areas is a plus.
Ability to conceptualize and execute engaging narratives that advance organizational goals.
Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
Familiarity with business environments, industry trends, and adaptability to new technologies.
Flexibility for irregular hours, including nights and weekends
Language Required:
Fluency in oral and written English is required, and Native Language of the area would be an added advantage.
