We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Lagos
Description
Implement and ensure compliance with approved HR policies, processes and procedures Develop HR plans and budget for assigned Group/Division
Develop effective working relationships and ensures the implementation of approved HR plans to support the achievement of the business objective
Deliver transactional HR services to assigned business unit with emphasis on pay and benefits administration, absence management, employee relations and engagement, employee wellbeing, discipline & grievances etc.
Engage with business unit leaders to implement approved HR programs and/or initiatives in the aforementioned areas
Manage the full recruitment life cycle ensuring assigned business is adequately staffed to deliver on its objective
Manage employee probation and identification of eligible staff for confirmation
Ensure the implementation of the performance evaluation process by providing guidance to line managers on policies and processes, confirming that evaluations and recommendations are completed on time and within set guidelines
Collate information on recommended performance evaluation outcomes for all performance appraisals and ensure timely submission of appraisal forms
Drive the completion of training needs analysis by line managers for employees in assigned business unit
Drive the implementation of developmental interventions within assigned business unit and ensures implementation of approved training plans
Assist in the development and implementation of initiatives that will drive increased employee satisfaction and engagement levels
Work with MD, CEO or SBU/Line Managers to ensure that they define the manpower requirements for their departments and businesses
Provide guidance to line managers / heads of Business Units in the investigation of disciplinary issues and violations of company policies
Coordinate the management of authorized absences or leave administration
Provide relevant data (e.g. payroll adjustments) to Finance department to ensure prompt processing of payroll, salary deductions and other payments
Maintain an up-to-date human resource information database for assigned Business Unit and generate scheduled or requested reports to assist decision-making
Maintain an effective level of literacy about the assigned business units, mid-range plans, customer value proposition and competition through engagement with business heads and active participation in business meetings
Prepare and submit periodic reports to the Business Head on HR activities and performance against set targets and identifies any areas of improvement
Advise line managers on people management issues
Serves as an accessible, responsive and credible advocate for all employees
Consistently and actively identify ways to improve service delivery and strengthen employee capability towards overall improvement of the Business Unit
Supervise the daily activities of the Office Administration. KNOWLEDGE
Requirements
Professional certification in Human Resources from any of HR Certification Institute (HRCI) USA, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Nigeria, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) USA, Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) UK is an added advantage
