Job Summary

• The Sales / Marketing Officer is responsible for promoting the travel agency’s services, attracting new clients through various medium and marketing channels, and maintaining relationships with existing customers. 
• The role involves developing marketing strategies, executing sales initiatives, and achieving business growth objectives. 
• The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the travel industry and be able to effectively communicate and persuade potential clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth.
• Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with corporate and individual clients.
• Field and traditional marketing in strategic location within Abuja to attract new clients and close sales
• Promote travel packages, flight bookings, hotel reservations, visa processing, and other travel-related services.
• Create engaging content, advertisements, and promotional materials to attract customers as needed.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
• Meet and exceed sales targets by generating leads and closing deals.
• Attend networking events, exhibitions, and industry fairs to promote services and expand business opportunities.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Prepare reports on sales performance, market trends, and marketing campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and marketing, in the travel industry is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of travel products, destinations, and industry trends.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve targets.
• High level of creativity, problem-solving skills, and strategic thinking.
• Willingness and love for marketing to promote the agency services as much as possible

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in physical/online travel sales and e-commerce platforms.
• Fluency in multiple languages is an advantage.
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
• Agile and proactive to closing sales and generating leads.
