Job Title: Commercial Officer - Horticultural Division

About the Role

• We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Commercial Officer to expand the Horticultural Division. 
• The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and improving customer relationships, managing sales performance, ensuring distributor success, and monitoring pricing strategies. 
• This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to drive commercial excellence in a dynamic and growing market.

Key Responsibilities
As a Commercial Officer, you will:

• Build and nurture healthy relationships with customers to uphold the company’s reputation and resolve commercial disputes.
• Drive and monitor Horticultural sales, including motivating Zonal Sales Representatives to achieve targets and providing monthly performance analysis.
• Manage the performance of distributors, ensuring their sales meet the company objectives.
• Monitor accounts receivable and enforce credit limits to minimize risks.
• Help determine product pricing by analysing market trends, competitor rates, and customer margins.

Qualifications & Skills

• Commercial and/or Horticultural Bachelor’s degree or similar education is compulsory.
• 5 - 10 years experience in the Horticultural Industry, preferably in the vegetables seeds business.
• A person of integrity, loyal and hard working.
• Driving license with verifiable inter-state driving experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
• A deep understanding of market dynamics and competitive business operations in vegetable seeds markets.
