Design, configure, and deploy secure network solutions using Cisco to meet the organization’s needs.
Oversee the installation and integration of network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Aruba Wireless Services Management:
Design, deploy, and manage Aruba Wireless solution for enterprise-level networks with up to 3K users in response to business needs.
Develop and maintain security and performance policies for wired, wireless, and VPN environments.
Broad understanding of Aruba ClearPass services implementation – full end-to-end to integrate with Active Directory, Cisco infrastructure, ticketing solutions (e.g., 4me, ServiceNow, etc.), Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA), BYOD, and more.
Broad knowledge of Mobility conductor services.
Use of ClearPass to generate dashboards and extensive customizable reports.
Network Monitoring & Traffic Analytics:
Monitor network performance and security using tools such as SolarWinds, Riverbed, PRTG, etc.
Troubleshoot complex network issues, performing root cause analysis and providing timely resolution.
Respond to network incidents and security breaches, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
Security & Compliance:
Implement and enforce network security policies, ensuring compliance with company industry standards.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans, remediating identified risks.
Collaborate with the IT team to maintain a secure and compliant network environment.
Documentation & Reporting:
Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change management logs.
Provide regular reports on network performance, security status, and project progress to organizational leadership.
Continuous Improvements & Research:
Stay up to date with the latest networking technologies, trends, and security threats.
Recommend and implement improvements to the network infrastructure to enhance security, performance, and scalability.
Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery initiatives to ensure network resilience.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 4-year University degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, or Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering, with 10 years' experience in Backend IT Infrastructure provision and support, of which at least 5 years must have been in IT Infrastructure service delivery and support for Data networks in the mainstream Oil and Gas industry.
At least 10 years’ experience in network engineering, with a focus on network security and architecture.
Extensive hands-on experience with HPE and Cisco Wireless solutions is a must, including design, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with Cisco routing and switching technologies, including experience with Nexus switches with solid understanding of network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, TCP/IP).
Familiarity with other security technologies such as VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security.
Relevant certifications such as HPE ACACA/ACACP/ACACX or industry equivalent are highly desirable.
Certification in Cisco networking is needed.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
