Job Title: Partnership and Business Development Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced partnership and business development manager to spearhead the strategic growth and launch of a mobile application. 
  • This role is critical in achieving our target of 5 million downloads within the first month of launch. 
  • The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully launching software products, cultivating strategic partnerships, and driving rapid user acquisition. 
  • You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive partnership and business development strategy to maximize app adoption and market penetration.

Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Development and Execution:

  • Develop and execute a great partnership strategy to drive 5 million app downloads within the first 3 months of launch.
  • Identify, cultivate, and secure strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including influencers, mobile platforms, and relevant businesses.
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Develop and implement pre- and post-launch partnership initiatives to maximize user acquisition and engagement.

Mobile Application Launch & Growth:

  • Lead the planning and execution of the mobile application launch, ensuring a successful and impactful market entry.
  • Utilize your experience from launching at least 3products to create a robust launch plan.
  • Develop and implement innovative user acquisition strategies to achieve 5 million downloads within one month.
  • Analyze app performance metrics and implement optimization strategies to drive user growth and retention.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align launch and growth efforts with overall business objectives.

Business Development & Client Management:

  • Identify and target potential business clients to expand the solutions network.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential and existing clients.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Provide ongoing support and account management to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Actively seek and respond to client feedback to enhance product offerings.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to app downloads, user engagement, and partnership performance.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on progress towards download targets and partnership outcomes.
  • Utilize CRM and analytics tools to manage partnership activities and customer data.
  • Identify and address performance gaps, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership development and business development, with a focus on mobile applications.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching at least 2 software products.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve significant user acquisition targets, ideally with experience driving millions of downloads.
  • Strong understanding of the mobile application ecosystem and user acquisition strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM and analytics tools.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with mobile app launch and growth strategies.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi or location-based services.
  • Existing network of contacts within the mobile app and partnership ecosystem.
  • Experience with influencer marketing.
