Advocacy for Resilience and Innovative Solutions for the Youths, Women, and Children Empowerment (ARISE Youths, Women, and Children) is a women-led, non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the prolonged hardships caused by insurgency, natural disasters, and economic adversity into pathways for growth and renewal.
Our organization is dedicated to contributing to efforts that address pressing needs within vulnerable communities. We work alongside partners to support initiatives in areas like education, food security, livelihood, protection, climate action, good governance, and Health/nutrition. By focusing on these areas, we aim to empower marginalized populations, especially youth, women, and children, creating pathways to resilience and sustainable growth.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) Officer - Volunteer
Develop and maintain a comprehensive MEAL framework for all ongoing and future projects.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure program effectiveness.
Ensure data quality and accuracy through regular reviews and validation.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and visual representations of findings.
Collaborate with teams to make data-driven recommendations for program improvement.
Develop and manage databases for data storage and retrieval.
Provide training and support to staff on MEAL methodologies and tools.
Conduct regular field visits to ensure data collection integrity and provide on-the-ground support to project teams.
Manage and maintain an up-to-date database of beneficiaries, project activities, and indicators.
Collaborate with project managers to develop effective log frames, indicators, and data collection tools.
Lead the process of data collection, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other research methodologies.
Ensure compliance with ethical data collection and privacy standards, including obtaining informed consent when necessary.
Apply advanced statistical analysis to identify trends, correlations, and outliers in the data.
Summarize and visualize complex data into comprehensible reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, impact assessments, and evaluation reports.
Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in monitoring and evaluation and adapt methods accordingly.
Offer continuous capacity-building and training to project staff and partners to enhance MEAL competencies.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science or survey and Geoinformatics is preferred
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or statistical software)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to carry out data analysis with Tableau, SPSS, ArcGIS is an added advantage
A passion for making a positive impact and contributing to the growth of our organization
Language required:
Fluency in oral and written English is required, and Native Language of the area would be an added advantage.
