Job Title: Semi-Senior Auditor

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a motivated and experienced Semi-Senior Auditor to join our team. 
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Nigerian audit and financial markets, a strong understanding of local regulatory frameworks, and the capability to lead and grow audit engagements from scratch.

Key Responsibilities
Audit Engagement Management:

• Plan, execute, and manage audit assignments in compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and Nigerian regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and design tailored audit programs.
• Prepare audit working papers, financial reports, and findings.

Client Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing insights and guidance on financial and compliance matters.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor junior auditors, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to deadlines.
• Provide on-the-job training to team members and assist in their professional development.

Business Development:

• Identify potential opportunities to grow the client portfolio.
• Assist in setting up and managing financial systems for start-ups and newly established businesses.

Market Knowledge:

• Stay up to date with Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and industry trends.
• Advise clients on compliance and risk management based on local and international frameworks.

Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ICAN / ACCA certification (or progress toward certification) is highly desirable.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an audit firm, with a proven track record of leading audits.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian financial and regulatory environment.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with accounting software like Sage, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory compliance.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Salary
N180,000 - N185,000 Monthly.
