Job Title: Construction Project Manager & Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in Quantity Surveying.
The ideal candidate will hold a PMP certification and be a member of CENG. This role involves overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project specifications and ensure alignment with client objectives.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Oversee the procurement process for materials and services, managing supplier relationships to secure quality resources at competitive costs.
Prepare and present project status reports and updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities.
Manage project budgets and conduct cost analysis and forecasting to avoid overruns and ensure fiscal responsibility.
Resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, including disputes, delays, and resource allocations.
Implement best practices for construction management and quantity surveying to optimize project delivery and success.
Measurable KPIs
Project completion rates within specified timelines and budget constraints.
Number of successful projects delivered without major defects or safety violations.
Maintaining a strong Client Satisfaction Score based on project performance evaluations.
Accuracy of budget estimates versus actual costs incurred on projects.
Improvement in project efficiency metrics, such as resource utiliza22tion and cost savings achieved through effective management practices.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
PMP certification and membership in CENG (or equivalent professional body).
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on quantity surveying or cost management.
Demonstrated experience managing residential and commercial construction projects of varying sizes and complexities.
Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite.
Competencies:
Strong leadership and decision-making skills to manage a diverse project team effectively.
Proven organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication skills to convey information clearly and foster collaboration among stakeholders.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools, as well as knowledge of quantity surveying methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address project challenges proactively.
