We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Ethical Hacker
Location: Ode-Remo, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Penetration Testing:
Conduct authorized simulated cyberattacks on computer systems, networks, web applications, and other infrastructure.
Identify vulnerabilities in systems, including networks, databases, and applications, that could be exploited by attackers.
Perform both black-box (without prior knowledge) and white-box (with full knowledge) penetration testing.
Vulnerability Assessment:
Analyze and assess the risk and impact of vulnerabilities discovered.
Suggest remediation steps to improve security posture.
Security Audits:
Perform regular security audits of systems and networks.
Ensure systems are compliant with security best practices and regulatory standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA).
Reporting:
Document findings and create detailed reports of identified vulnerabilities, exploitations, and potential impact.
Provide clear, actionable recommendations for resolving security issues.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to report on security concerns.
Security Tools and Techniques:
Use a variety of tools and techniques (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nmap) to perform penetration tests and security assessments.
Develop custom tools and scripts for testing and exploiting vulnerabilities where necessary.
Collaboration:
Work with cloud engineering team to address vulnerabilities and provide guidance on securing systems.
Advise on the implementation of security measures and best practices across the organization.
Security Research:
Stay up-to-date with the latest hacking techniques, cybersecurity threats, and industry trends.
Contribute to knowledge-sharing within the cybersecurity community and internal teams.
Incident Response:
Assist in investigating security incidents, identify root causes of breaches, and help develop strategies for mitigating future incidents.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity laws, standards, and organizational policies.
Maintain thorough documentation of security testing, results, and risk assessments.
Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or penetration testing.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS).
Familiarity with web application security, network security, and cryptography.
Experience with exploiting vulnerabilities and evading detection methods.
Certifications (preferred but not always required):
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).
CompTIA Security+ or other relevant certifications.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and thoroughness in testing.
Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
