EAN Aviation a private company which owns and operates the first fully-integrated FBO & Aircraft Maintenance facility in Lagos, Nigeria. EAN Aviation is an aviation conglomerate providing FBO, private hangar, sales & charter services to our business and commercial clients.
The Store and Records Personnel is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing inventory records for parts and consumables.
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all maintenance activities are traceable and meet the stringent safety and regulatory requirements of the aviation industry.
Responsibilities
Documentation Management:
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities performed on wheels and brakes.
Accurately log inspection, repair, and replacement data in a systematic manner.
Ensure all documentation is properly stored and easily retrievable when needed.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance records adhere to Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority Regulations (Nig.CARs).
Keep certification documents and release-to-service paperwork updated and organized.
Work with regulatory bodies to provide necessary records during inspections and audits.
Inventory Tracking:
Manage inventory records for parts such as wheels, tires, brake pads, and consumables (e.g., grease, hydraulic fluids).
Track usage trends to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent overstocking or shortages.
Coordinate with procurement teams to order necessary parts and consumables.
Coordination with Staff:
Collaborate with technicians and Certifying Staff to ensure timely and accurate record submission.
Support workshop supervisors with reports and updates on maintenance documentation.
Assist in the preparation of reports for management on maintenance and inventory activities.
Audit Preparation:
Prepare and organize records for internal or external audits by regulatory bodies or clients.
Identify and address discrepancies or missing documentation to ensure compliance.
Implement corrective actions to improve record-keeping accuracy.
Historical Record Maintenance:
Maintain a comprehensive database of maintenance history for each component to ensure traceability.
Archive records systematically to facilitate quick reference when needed.
Report Generation:
Produce routine and ad-hoc reports regarding maintenance activities, part usage, and compliance status.
Generate detailed reports for management, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in records management, preferably within an aviation maintenance environment.
Familiarity with Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority Regulations (Nig.CARs) and aviation maintenance documentation standards.
Experience in inventory control and record-keeping systems.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Proficiency in using maintenance tracking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Work Conditions:
Office and workshop environment with frequent interactions with maintenance staff.
Occasional need to lift and organize inventory items
