Job Title: Information Technology Officer (IT Officer) 

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of Role

• The Information Technology Officer is responsible for managing the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations, system security, and overall technological efficiency. 
• This role involves overseeing network systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT assets, and ensuring data security. 
• The IT Officer will also support employees with technical assistance and drive IT improvements that enhance productivity and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and workstations, ensuring optimal performance.
• Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
• Oversee system security, implement cybersecurity measures, and ensure data protection through backups and recovery solutions.
• Install, configure, and update IT equipment, including computers, printers, and other peripherals. • Manage IT assets, procurement, and software licensing compliance to ensure efficiency and cost- effectiveness.
• Monitor and optimize network connectivity, ensuring stable and secure LAN, WAN, and VPN access.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, best practices, and user guidelines to enhance IT operations.
• Train employees on IT systems, cybersecurity awareness, and efficient use of software tools.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to maintain and upgrade IT systems as needed. The Ideal Candidate
• Technically skilled in IT systems, troubleshooting, and network management.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, and IT best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to IT challenges.
• Strong communication skills, able to provide clear guidance to non-technical users.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with teams to support business operations.

Qualifications

• HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in IT support, network administration & system maintenance. 
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems, and cybersecurity.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and preventive IT maintenance.

Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 / month.
