Job Title: Lead, Risk & Compliance

Job Summary

• The Lead, Risk & Compliance will be responsible for overseeing all enterprise risk, regulatory, and compliance aspects of company’s operations across multiple markets.
• This individual will ensure that the company operates within the compliance and regulatory frameworks of each country while mitigating financial, compliance and regulatory risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of the company’s compliance program to meet regulatory requirements and international best practices
• Carrying out regular reviews of the business to check compliance with Financial Crime & Anti-money laundering (AML rules and other regulations impacting the business
• Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and controls aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Oversee the implementation of AML/CFT policies, including customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD) and sanctions screening and actively check adherence to the Company’s policies, controls and procedures and review their effectiveness and escalate accordingly.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with reporting obligations
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework tailored to the company operations
• Conduct regular risk assessments and. identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the company’s business operations
• Lead the implementation of risk and compliance technology and tools
• Manage relationships with regulators, auditors, and consultants
• Supporting with requests and enquiries from third parties, such as Banks, regulators, Law Enforcement
• Performing Transaction Monitoring and Compliance Monitoring & Testing
• Support the business expansion strategy by identifying risks and regulatory challenges in new markets and support the company in obtaining licenses from new jurisdictions
• Undertake the Transaction and Compliance Monitoring and Testing processes with suggestions on improvements and enhancements
• Deliver training programs to employees to promote awareness of AML/CFT, data protection, and regulatory requirements
• Keep abreast of key regulatory changes which may impact on the firm’s businesses undertaking the Compliance Horizon Scanning guidelines.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• First Degree in any discipline from an accredited university
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFCS is an added advantage
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in risk management and compliance roles within the fintech, payments, or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations and FATF recommendations
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work well within a team environment and build relationships
• Systematic approach to work, good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize to adhere totight deadlines.
