As the Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
You will lead a team of staff members, ensure customer satisfaction, manage inventory, enforce company policies, and maintain high standards of service.
Your leadership and organizational skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of operations and the delivery of exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Staff Management:
Supervise and lead the restaurant team, including kitchen staff, servers, and other employees, to ensure efficient and effective service.
Train, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and employee performance.
Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
Address any issues or conflicts within the team, ensuring a harmonious work environment.
Customer Service Excellence:
Ensure high standards of customer service by leading by example, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
Handle customer complaints or issues promptly, resolving them in a professional and effective manner.
Monitor the quality of food and service, ensuring that the restaurant maintains an exceptional reputation.
Operations Management:
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and maintaining operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
Manage restaurant inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Monitor and control restaurant expenses, ensuring that operational costs are kept within budget.
Financial Oversight:
Assist in generating daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, providing insights to the management team.
Implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve profitability.
Ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Quality Control & Cleanliness:
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including dining areas, kitchen, and restrooms, according to health and safety standards.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure the restaurant meets company standards for hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
Ensure that equipment is maintained and repaired as necessary to avoid disruptions in service.
Marketing & Promotion:
Support promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives to boost restaurant visibility and attract new customers.
Create a positive and engaging atmosphere for guests, encouraging repeat business.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality or quick service restaurant industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve complaints and ensure a positive dining experience.
In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety, inventory control, and financial management.
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and restaurant management software.
Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and health and safety regulations is an advantage.
