We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time
Department: Finance/Account Department.
Reports To: HOD, Finance Department.

Job Summary

• The candidate must be a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant Officer to join our finance team.
• In this role, you will assist with the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. 
• You will work closely with senior accountants to manage accounts payable and receivable, prepare financial reports, and support the month-end and year-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Inventory/Stock management control across all brands of clienteles.
• Daily Posting of Sales and Expenses transactions.
• Vendor account management & reconciliation.
• Reporting of financial transactions as requested by management.
• Updating and filing cash and transfer payment Vouchers with supporting documents.
• Maintain Fixed asset register and asset valuation.
• Maintain and organize the physical filing of source documents.
• Preparation of the Monthly Payroll and Sales report
• Preparation and filing of statutory payments and taxes.
• Monitor office expenses, imprest and reconciliation.
• Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
• Coordinate monthly Stock counting, and reconciliation.
• Bank statement reconciliation.
• Other tasks as assigned by the management.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Minimum of HND / B.Sc. in Finance/Accounting or other related fields
• Possess 2 - 3 years of experience working as an Accountant or similar role
• Retail experience is an added advantage.
• Preference will be given to candidates residing in or close to the Island.

Skills:

• Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and office filing management.
• Ability to work with accounting software or ERP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
• Skills to operate common office equipment.
