Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Lagos

Job Summary
Our client in the Oil and Gas Sector is seeking a highly motivated, result-driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee multiple engineering projects from Inception to completion and manage project engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas sector with strong leadership skills, extensive technical knowledge and the ability to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
This role will ensure that project objectives are met while maintaining compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
Support well intervention operations, including pumping and coil tubing activities, slick line activities, well head installation and maintenance and ensuring technical excellence and adherence to safety standards.
Develop project strategies, set goals and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success.
Supervise and mentor a team of project engineers, ensuring effective resource allocation and performance management.
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and accountability within the project team.
Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, resource allocation and risk management strategies.
Identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
Represent the company at client meetings, Industry conferences and stakeholder briefings.
Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets and quality standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring project alignment with expectations.
Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, industry best practices and company policies.
Implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of project deliverables.
Provide required technical leadership on all engineering and field operations.
Oversee technical reviews and ensure engineering solutions meet project and client requirements.
Manage relationships with vendors, contractors and third-party consultants.
Review contracts, ensure compliance with terms and oversee procurement processes.
Develop project performance frameworks, track key metrics and report regularly to senior management.
Conduct post-project evaluation to capture lessons learned and improve future project execution.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by senior management to support the organisation's strategic goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical or other related field).
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas sector, with at least 5 years in a project management role.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail and quality control.
An advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Engineering) is a plus.
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects in the Oil and Gas sector.
Strong leadership, team management and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in well intervention operations and strong knowledge of seismic data acquisition and processing techniques.
Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Proficient in design and project management software (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
Strong understanding of HSE regulations and industry best practices.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
In-depth knowledge of Project management (Software) methodologies, budgeting and scheduling.
Work Conditions / Location:
Office environment with frequent field/site visits.
May require extended working hours to meet deadlines projects.
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic project environment.
Salary
N900,000 - N1,000,000 Monthly.
HMO and pensions inclusive in offer.
