The Dog Food Shop Limited is a company that has adopted a solutions-oriented approach towards the delivery of world-class discriminately selected brands of dry and wet foods, supplements and non-food products for dogs and cats.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Retail Shop Supervisor

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Spearhead online marketing and sales activities for the assigned retail outlet;
• Coordinate and supervise vendors and contractors for the assigned retail outlets;
• Oversee cashiers, and other in-shop employees;
• Monitor shelf stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the shop;
• Evaluate shop merchandise needs through the verification of product performance;
• Evaluate the supply and availability of stocks;
• Monitor reorder levels; help restock and re-order merchandise when necessary;
• Ensures the team proactively manages customer needs and exceeds expectations;
• Implement measures to avoid stock damages, theft, and wastage;
• Investigate market trends and offering products that would appeal to customers;
• Train new staff members and scheduling shifts.
• Ensures smooth store flow, orderliness, and cleanliness;
• Creates a positive store image through adherence to company policies and standards and notifies management of any infraction;
• Completes store daily and weekly status reports, including sales, customer service, stock status, and merchandising;
• Manage sales transactions with customers using cash registers;
• Scan goods and ensure accurate pricing; issue receipts, refunds, balance, or tickets as required by the payment method;
• Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts;
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones;
• Address customers' requests, comments, and resolve complaints, guide customer’s decisions and provide relevant information on products;
• Report issues with equipment and general maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum OND or equivalent in any related discipline;
• Minimum 1-year proven experience as a retail shop supervisor or similar role in sales.

Skills:

• Basic PC knowledge;
• Knowledge of point-of-sale software;
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS;
• Good math skills;
• Accountability and accuracy in reconciling sales receipts;
• Strong communication and time management skills;
• Attention to detail
• Customer satisfaction-oriented;
• Ability to effectively handle and arrange cash;
• Has excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and people skills
• Able to handle pressure and maintain composure, especially during stressful situations
• Must be amendable to corporate governance.

Salary
N100,000 - N130,000 Monthly.
