Job Title: Digital Advertising Specialist
Location: Fully Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and results-driven Digital Advertising Specialist to join our dynamic Marketing & Creative team. The Digital Advertising Specialist will be responsible for creating, optimising, and managing paid digital campaigns to drive sales, brand awareness, and return on investment. This role will be responsible to run campaigns across a wide variety of platforms and in many different countries across Africa. While this role is open to candidates globally, the successful candidate will be required to maintain the same working hours as the Africa-based team.
Responsibilities
What you would be expected to do:
Campaign Creation and Management:
Develop, execute, and manage digital advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, and TikTok.
Continuously optimise campaigns for maximum performance, including A/B testing of creatives, targeting, and bidding strategies.
Analytics and Reporting:
Analyse campaign performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve results.
Generate and share regular performance reports, highlighting key KPIs, ROI, and strategic recommendations.
Monitor and adjust campaigns based on data trends, seasonality, and changes in platform algorithms.
Strategic Planning and Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams (creative, social media, marketing) to develop high-quality advertising creatives in a variety of formats.
Work closely with call centre teams to monitor customer responses to digital advertising and ensure that campaigns stay responsive to call centre capacity and needs.
Work with the marketing team to align digital advertising efforts with overall marketing goals and objectives.
Keep up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and changes in digital advertising technologies and platform updates.
Budget Management:
Manage and optimize advertising budgets to ensure cost-efficiency and effective spend allocation.
Recommend budget adjustments based on performance analysis and business goals.
Innovation:
Experiment with and assess new ad formats, targeting options, and optimization strategies to drive innovative campaigns.
Requirements
You might be a strong candidate if you have/are:
Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing successful advertising campaigns across Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), YouTube, and TikTok, ideally for multinational brands and with exposure to African markets.
Proven track record of driving results through digital advertising (e.g., lead generation, sales, brand awareness).
Experience with ad campaign analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, etc.).
Ability to think creatively and develop compelling ad copy, visuals, and strategies tailored to each platform.
Good understanding of customer personas and ability to tailor ads for maximum engagement.
Good written and verbal communication skills to present campaign results and recommendations clearly.
Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, copywriters, and other marketing professionals.
Good knowledge of campaign structure, bidding strategies, audience segmentation, and reporting across Google, YouTube, Meta, and TikTok.
Proficiency in utilising tools and interpreting data to make data-driven decisions.
Understanding of tracking and conversion pixels, tracking tools (e.g., Google Tag Manager), and attribution models.
Certifications such as Google Ads Certification, Meta Blueprint Certification, or TikTok Ads Manager Certification are a plus.
