TheFinanceManagerwill play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization.
This individual will be responsible for managing all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably within the hospitality industry, and possess the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.
Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans in alignment with organizational goals.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to senior management.
Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to ensure the financial stability and profitability of the business.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Present financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and board members, highlighting performance against targets.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Cash Flow Management:
Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds for operational needs.
Manage working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory control.
Optimize banking relationships and negotiate favorable terms with financial institutions.
Cost Control & Profitability:
Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability across all business units.
Analyze cost structures and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with department heads to monitor and control operational expenses.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
Provide strategic financial guidance to support business decisions, including investments, expansions, and new projects.
Evaluate financial implications of business initiatives and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
Support the development and execution of business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax requirements.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management practices.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the team meets deadlines and objectives.
Hospitality-Specific Responsibilities:
Monitor revenue streams specific to the hospitality industry, including room revenue, F&B sales, and event bookings.
Analyze occupancy rates, average daily rate (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR) to optimize pricing strategies.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless financial processes across all hospitality functions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Achievement of budget and forecast targets.
Improvement in profitability and cost efficiency.
Compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
Proven experience in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of hospitality-specific financial systems (e.g., Opera, Micros, or similar) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
