Job Title: Grade 2, 5 & 6 Assistant Teacher

Job Summary

• We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and dedicated Grade 2 teacher to join our dynamic team.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary education, experience in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, and a commitment to developing young learners holistically.

Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and international best practices.
• Utilize innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and critical thinking.
• Integrate technology and hands-on learning to create an interactive classroom environment.

Student Development & Assessment:

• Monitor and assess student progress through tests, quizzes, assignments, and observational analysis.
• Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and behavior.
• Identify and support students with learning difficulties or special needs, ensuring an inclusive classroom.

Classroom Management & Learning Environment:

• Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and disciplined classroom atmosphere.
• Encourage and promote good behavior, responsibility, and respect among students.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

Parent & Community Engagement:

• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff to foster a supportive school community.

Professional Development & School Involvement:

• Stay updated on best practices in education through workshops, training, and professional development courses.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials.
• Contribute to school initiatives, clubs, and projects aimed at improving student engagement and performance.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (preferably from an A-list university).
• TRCN certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of child development, literacy, numeracy, and classroom management strategies.
• Experience with interactive and child-centered learning methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Classroom, and other EdTech tools.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their academic and personal growth.
