Job Title: Instructional Designer
Location: Lagos (Hybrid)

Role Overview
The Instructional Designer will collaborate across the organization to develop task-oriented learning content that aligns with our training principles and business objectives.
This role requires someone adept at working in a dynamic environment, engaging with stakeholders, and translating subject matter expertise into effective learning experiences.
Working closely with the Academy and business leaders, you will design and deliver training solutions that drive measurable results.
Responsibilities
Engage with business leaders and stakeholders to assess learning requirements and design content that addresses key skill gaps.
Develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality learning content for various delivery formats, including LMS-based modules, virtual sessions, in-person workshops, and other training modalities.
Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to structure content into effective learning materials, including course outlines, syllabi, learning objectives, instructor/learner guides, e-learning modules, and performance support tools.
Leverage instructional design best practices to create engaging and interactive e-learning content using tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise, and other authoring/animation software.
Review SME-provided content to ensure instructional soundness, clarity, and alignment with a task-based, results-driven approach.
Design and implement SCORM-compliant learning experiences within the organization’s LMS and other learning platforms.
Analyze training effectiveness through learner feedback and performance data, refining content to enhance engagement and impact.
Work closely with the e-learning and learning & development teams to drive best practices in instructional design and learning experience development through knowledge sharing.
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of experience in instructional design, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Bachelor’s Degree or HND
A strong preference for candidates who have developed IT-related programs.
Certification in instructional design is advantageous.
Experience managing multiple learning projects across diverse stakeholder groups.
Familiarity with tech-enabled learning approaches, focus group facilitation, and learner engagement strategies.
Requirements:
Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills to navigate organizational learning needs.
Proficiency in SCORM standards and experience working with LMS platforms.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Hands-on experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and other animation tools.
Ability to structure complex topics into well-organized, engaging, and structured learning experiences.
Expertise in designing instructional materials, including storyboards, training documents, and prototypes.
Strong visual design skills to create appealing and effective training materials.
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills for evaluating training effectiveness.
