We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: CNG Truck Mechanic II

Location: Ogun

Description 

• We are looking for a skilled and experienced CNG-Powered Truck Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks used for company deliveries.
• The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of CNG engine systems, vehicle diagnostics, and preventive maintenance procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of CNG-powered trucks to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform repairs on CNG fuel systems, including tanks, fuel injectors, and pressure regulators.
• Troubleshoot and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and exhaust system faults.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs and maintenance work.
• Collaborate with drivers and fleet managers to address vehicle concerns promptly.
• Keep the workshop organized and ensure proper handling of tools and equipment.
• Train junior mechanics and drivers on basic CNG truck maintenance and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND / NABTEB / Trade Test Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in truck maintenance, with a focus on CNG-powered vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of CNG engine systems, fuel injection, and truck diagnostics.
• Ability to use diagnostic software and repair manuals to troubleshoot faults.
• Experience with both manual and automatic transmission repairs.
• Understanding of safety procedures for handling compressed natural gas (CNG) systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
