We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time.

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager is a key role responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities. 
  • This individual will develop and execute strategic sales plans, build strong client relationships, and represent our brand in the market.
  • The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-oriented professional with a proven track record in business development within the consulting industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential clients in target industries and markets.
  • Generate leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, email marketing, and social media.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Conduct client meetings and presentations to showcase company's expertise and value proposition.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Negotiate and close contracts with new clients.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations.
  • Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet their specific requirements.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Work with project delivery teams to ensure a smooth handoff for new clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Identify new market opportunities and potential partnerships.
  • Provide feedback to the management team on market insights and competitive intelligence.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking events to build relationships and generate leads.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM system.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and performance updates.
  • Contribute to the development of sales and marketing materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the consulting industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of business consulting services and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Excellent networking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
