Job Title: Head of Facilities Management

Job Description
The Head of Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and management of all company facilities.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in facilities management, experience in the proptech sector, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to implement innovative solutions to enhance our facilities management processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the facilities management team to ensure efficient operation of all company properties.
Develop and implement facilities management strategies and policies in alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
Oversee maintenance, repair, and renovation projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Utilize proptech solutions to streamline facilities management processes and improve operational efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of company facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services.
Develop and manage the facilities management budget, including forecasting and cost control.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on facilities management performance and initiatives.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
Building Management Systems (BMS): Expert knowledge of managing and interpreting data from building systems like HVAC, lighting, and security to optimize energy usage and maintain comfortable environments.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Ability to extract meaningful insights from building data to identify trends, predict issues, and make informed decisions about facility operations.
IoT (Internet of Things) Integration: Understanding how to connect and utilize smart sensors within the building to monitor conditions, gather real-time data, and automate responses.
Cloud-Based Platforms: Familiarity with cloud-based facility management software to access data from multiple sources, collaborate with team members, and manage maintenance tasks remotely.
Space Utilization Software: Expertise in using tools to analyze space usage, identify potential inefficiencies, and optimize room allocation.
Energy Monitoring and Management: Proficiency in utilizing tools to track energy consumption, identify areas for improvement, and implement energy-saving strategies.
Predictive Maintenance: Understanding and applying predictive maintenance algorithms to anticipate equipment failures and schedule preventative maintenance proactively.
Facility Maintenance Management Systems (FMMS): Knowledge of software to manage work orders, track maintenance activities, and optimize asset lifecycle.
Integration and Interoperability: Ability to connect different PropTech solutions and ensure data flows seamlessly between systems for holistic facility management.
Cybersecurity Awareness: Understanding the security implications of connected building systems and implementing appropriate measures to protect data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree
Proven ability to organize, lead, influence and motivate a large and diverse group of employees and volunteers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional leadership experience
Project and Contract handling experience
Strong supervisory skills and attention to details
Prior Knowledge of the MS Office Suite, facility management software, databases, and reporting systems.
Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 / month.
