Job Title: Team Lead, Marketing / Business Development
Location: Lagos
Job Description
As a Team Lead, Marketing/Business Development (Deposit Mobilization), you will be responsible for sourcing funds, managing investment portfolios, and ensuring excellent client relationships.
You will develop and execute market strategies, convert prospects, and actively contribute to the company’s growth objectives.
Marketing Responsibilities
Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers to the finance house's services (loans, savings, etc.).
Identifying target markets and creating campaigns to reach potential customers, both individuals and businesses.
Promoting financial products such as loans, savings, and investment services through various channels (digital, direct sales, etc.).
Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Acting as the first point of contact for customers, resolving issues, and providing information on products and services.
Conducting market research to understand the competitive landscape, customer needs, and industry trends.
Gathering insights to help develop new financial products or improve existing ones.
Sales and Customer Engagement:
Coordinating the marketing activities of the Company.
Mobilize N50-100 million in Deposit investments monthly.
Seek and engage prospective clients, providing necessary product and service information.
Guide customers on using the company’s mobile application and digital products.
Actively pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Update customers on rate changes and promotional offers.
Regularly reporting on sales performance and preparing action plans to address any shortfalls.
Working to enhance the finance house's brand visibility in the market.
Collaborating with the team to develop marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and online content.
Advising clients on available financial products that meet their needs, including credit terms, repayment plans, and investment options.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Working with the credit department to ensure that marketing efforts align with the institution’s credit policies.
Assist the customer service team with KYC document collection and review.
Collaborating with customer service and operations teams to ensure smooth loan processing and client satisfaction.
Market Intelligence and Compliance:
Gather market intelligence to enhance the company’s offerings.
Maintain awareness of lending and investment policies, ensuring all sales align with company regulations.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory laws and guidelines.
Performance Management and Reporting:
Maintain awareness of personal targets and strive to achieve them.
Conduct frequent client engagements to assess satisfaction and recommend improvements.
Participate in monthly performance reviews and present achievements.
Achieve the conversion of a minimum of 10 accounts monthly.
Perform any other duties as required by the management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar fields.
At least 5 years marketing experience in financial services or related businesses.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Good knowledge of financial services products and services.
Ability to collaborate and function in a team.
Goal-oriented with a drive for success.
Strong willingness to learn and develop.
Good analytical and numerate skills.
Ability to multitask and function in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
